Ice Tea Fiasco
I made a pitcher of ice tea today.
- I went into the kitchen for a glass of ice tea.
- Opened the fridge and stood there wondering why I was there.
Could not remember. Went back and sat down. - Thought, "I am thirsty." Suddenly remembered why I had originally gone into the kitchen.
- Back to the kitchen, opened the fridge picked up the ice tea picture. It was empty, of course.
- Put water to boil for tea
- Forgot about the water until I smelled something strange.
- Back to the kitchen to find an empty pot.
- Washed and refilled the pot with water and put it on to boil. Set the timer so I would remember to come back.
- When the timer sounded I went to the kitchen. Found the water boiling and thought, "oh, that is right I am making ice tea."
- Tried to remember what I needed. After a moment or 2 I finally had a eureka, "Tea bags!"
- Put tea bags in to steep and sat again.
- An hour or so later I went into the kitchen because I was thirsty only to find the pot with tea bags in it cold on the stove.
- I made the the ice tea and finally, after at least 2 hours, I had my glass of ice tea.
- Of course by then I was exhausted and had to go take a nap. I don't know how I am going to have the strength to make dinner.
Yes, I usually have a glass of water by me at all times but this time I just wanted a glass of ice tea.
